Where do I start?
Play the Tutorial from the menu. Its seven short fields teach the knights and the dead, a few at a time. The rest you meet on the road, with a line the first time each one turns up.
How do stars work?
Every field has three: one for winning, one for keeping every knight standing, and one for winning within the field's par, its number of turns. On a field where you hold ground, the third is for keeping every town whole. A field won with a hint earns one star.
What does a blow do before I make it?
Choose a knight and a target and the board shows the result first: the damage, where anyone is knocked, and who drowns or burns. What it shows is exactly what happens.
I am stuck on a field.
Tap Hint in the row above the board. Each march has two hints, and one opens a whole field: once spent there, hints on that field are free for good, every turn and every retry. The tutorial's hints are always free.
What is free, and what does the purchase unlock?
The tutorial and all of The First March are free. One purchase unlocks The Long March and The Last March for good, with no subscription and nothing else to buy.
I bought the road. How do I get it on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account, open Settings in the game and tap Restore purchase. The same goes for an iPad on the same Apple ID. Your stars and progress stay on the old device, but the purchase comes with you.
How do I start over?
In Settings, "Forget the tutorial" resets the lessons, and "Forget the march" locks the road again and clears its stars and hints. Tap twice to confirm. Deleting the app also removes all progress, since it is kept only on your device.
Does my progress move to a new phone?
Your purchase does, through Restore purchase. Stars and progress do not yet: they are stored only on the device you play on.
